Ceipty ("we", "the app") is a receipt-scanning and expense-tracking tool. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it simple: we only collect what the app needs to work, and we never sell your data.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address, used to sign in and sync your data across devices.
- Receipt data you create: photos of receipts and the details extracted from or entered for them (vendor, date, amount, tax, category, payment method/status, notes) and your workspace settings.
- Basic usage counts needed to run the service (e.g. daily scan count for plan limits).
We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or browsing activity.
Camera & photo access
The app uses your camera and photo library only to let you capture or attach receipt images. Images are used solely to create your expense records. Nothing is accessed without your action.
AI processing
To read a receipt automatically, the image is sent to Google Gemini via our secure server to extract the vendor, date, amount and similar fields. Google processes the image to return that text and does not use it to train its models under our API terms. You can also enter details manually.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres database + object storage) tied to your account, protected by row-level security so only you (and people you explicitly share a workspace with) can access it. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our infrastructure providers.
Sharing
If you invite someone to a workspace, the receipts in that workspace become visible to them with the permission you set. We do not otherwise share your data. We never sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleted receipts go to a Trash for 30 days, then are removed. You can delete all your data at any time in Settings → Data → Clear all. To delete your entire account and associated data, email us at the address below and we will remove it.
Children
Ceipty is intended for business and personal expense tracking by adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
